WestWood Trailers is proud to announce the introduction of a brand new car transporter trailer from Ifor Williams. The Transporta CCT5221 car trailer is an innovative car transporter that provides a sturdy but light enclosed trailer that protects the vehicle from the elements during transport. The Transporta is designed with the same high quality and durable galvanised steel build that all our Ifor Williams trailers are renowned for. The new Transporta car trailer features heavy duty flooring, hydraulic tilting drawbar with side and upward opening hatches, ideal for maintenance access to the vehicle while parked inside the trailer.
The Transporta will accommodate a large range of cars and vehicles and is an ideal trailer for the motor enthusiast, vintage and classic car owners or car racing teams. The Transporta car transporter trailer will carry cars up to 3500KG in weight, with an internal width of 2236mm and a length of 5220mm. Secure front Storage cabinets, hinged workbenches and tyre racks are available as accessories to create a bespoke enclosed workshop for professional use on the road. LED interior lights and a spring assisted rear ramp are fitted as standard.
A sliding bracket operated by an electric winch allows the owner to move the assembly from side to side to compensate for vehicle towing eye position. The CCT5221 can also accommodate cars with low ground clearance as the car trailer is available with an option of ramp skid extenders. The perfect trailer for motorsport enthusiasts, small racing teams and classic car owners, the enclosed car transporter offers protection from the elements whilst transporting and storing high value vehicles. All models feature a durable galvanised steel chassis, with the tiltbed model featuring a manual hydraulic tilting drawbar which accommodates most vehicles and for vehicles with low ground clearance an optional pair of ramp skid extenders are available.
An electrically operated winch is available and the sliding bracket means the whole assembly can move from side to side to allow for variation in vehicle towing eye position. The optional tyre rack and workbench, which are mounted to the front of the trailer, can accommodate a set of differently sized wheels and gives a fully functional working area over a durable large front storage cabinet constructed from lightweight material. Two large side doors give access to the vehicle for restraining.
LED spotlights down both sides gives both ambient and practical lighting to the interior of this trailer and optional floor strip lighting gives low level illumination. Side track restraints are fitted as standard and with multiple holes every 60mm, this gives ample lashing points. Adjustable sliding wheel stop provides repeatable positioning for a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal weight distribution to ensure towing stability.
