  • It is extremely important that it your trailer is maintained by a qualified trailer mechanic. Trailers which are in daily use such as commercial or plant trailers, we recommend they should be serviced every 6 months or so. Where trailers are not on the road every day but are frequently used we recommend a service every 12 months.

  • Ifor Williams trailers are fitted with a sticker called ‘Safety and Maintenance’. It is usually located on the inside of the groom’s door of your horsebox and on the front of your trailer around the area of your drawbar. This sticker will contain information such as the wiring diagram, tyre pressures. Or contact our service team and they will email to you.

  • Maintaining and keeping your trailer clean is important as it will enhance the trailers lifetime and give you a higher resale value when you go to sell or trade in. It is fine to use a power washer on your trailer provided a gentle chemical or detergent is used. It is important to remember that hard abrasive chemicals should not be used as these can damage the protective coating already on your trailer.
